Northern Production Centre

In an effort to address social inequities and reduce employment barriers to youth in Nain, Nunatsaivut, we opened the first of its kind, Northern Production Centre, in 2019 with the support of Inuit, provincial, and federal governments.

  • Graduates

    As of January 2022, 19 Inuit youth have completed our Employment Readiness and Technology Development Program.

  • Technology

    Inuit youth participate in the comprehensive 5-week training program in which they complete core social-emotional learning and technical training where they learn to build our SmartBUOY instrumentation.

  • Employment

    Over X,000 employment hours have been created in the community of Nain since 2019.
